    Hi Willem,

First I have to thank you for keeping my User name alive.

Trying to get back with all my old strain / blood line, its been a long time I'v been into this forum.

Lost some of my good old birds, that was 22 years old and another big old guy that was 8 years old couple of very good hens and chicks.

I'm still thankful to God he has left me few of them, and a change of Job in life which a grat gift from God.

I have been trying to get back my old bread, but for some reason I think i am making a mistake some were down the line.

I set up a pair of birds to breed and get the full set of eggs and place them in the refrigerator until the last egg is laid. After that I would remove all of them and keep to room temperature say for 2 days and then set them under a hen which as taken care chicks earlyer.

What is happening most of them are not forming, means they are getting bad not hatching at all. Can you help with problem that I am going through please.

Thanks in advance and all your help.

    Regards,
    Bob1975

    Bob.

Keep them out of the refrigerator.

Not a fan of chilling the eggs - there is a difference between keeping them cool - and the fridge.  Refridgerators are meant to reduce humidity - keep things dry - which is why you have special vegetable drawers.  Most likely, you're simply killing the embryo's by doing this.  I would collect them - keep them in the house, in the pantry or basement (somewhere cool) and go from there.  Once you've collected a setting - put them in the incubator as normal.
