Especially for Pablo and the southern boys:
I saw some youtube footage of a pit in Ecuador showing Navajeros. It was most interesting to me, but raised several questions:
1. How long is the knife used? The thing looked to be about 5 inches long!
2. I noticed that some birds faced, but most did not. As a matter of fact, when first pitted the birds just kind of walked around for 8 to 10 seconds and then BAM! one jumped the other; as I stated many times without facing. I found this most unusual; especially the long wait.
Explanations with any rules would help. Thanks.
